The navy is still testing manned and unmanned combat air vehicles. The latest test involved an F/A-18 and an X-47B. The X-47B demonstrated that it can operate safely with manned aircraft. After an 8-minute flight, it completed an arrested landing, folded its wings, and cleared the deck for the F/A-18 to follow. You can see the X-47B in action in the below video:
