The Whale Fall Ferrofluid Speaker is one of the coolest speakers we have tested. It uses magnetic fluid to dance to the beat of your music. The upgraded version now has a sound pick up function, so it will respond to any sound around it if it doesn’t sense a Bluetooth connection. It has 4 color modes for you to choose from. Unlike the previous model, this one also has an audio jack, so you can connect it to your laptop or other audio sources.
Unlike other ferrofluid visualizers and speakers we have tested, this one has a horizontal design and produces gorgeous spikes. The previous model only had a Bluetooth mode. This one waits for a connection for a couple of seconds before switching to visualizer mode. The above video shows it in action.
