The Chessnut Pro is one of our favorite chessboards. It is a tournament size smart chessboard with app connectivity. It connects to Chess.com and Lichess and has smart pieces that are recognized automatically. It also comes with a gorgeous set of smart pieces. The good folks behind it were kind enough to send us a new set to test.
These Weighted Chessnut Pro Pieces are roughly the same size as the ones we originally got with the board. They are a bit heavier, so they are even more comfortable to use. You get 34 pieces, including 2 queens, all with sensor chips. What’s neat about these pieces is you can put them on board and set up a position in a flash as they are recognized accurately by the board. This is also great for playing Chess960.
