Plenty of people are excited about ChatGPT, Dream Machine and similar services. With the right tools, you can develop your own AI powered solutions. The Unisense is an AI vision sensor powered by AI and LLMs. One of the biggest challenges with LLMs is the time it takes to generate a response. These guys have combined a motion sensor with a a camera to only send an image to the model when it needs to see what is happening.

The camera module can rotate 120-degrees up and down for easy positioning. The image is sent to the model when motion is detected, which in turn sends a custom token to a microcontroller.  You can access various settings through the web. To use OpenAI, you are going to need your API key. The makers suggest MiniCPM Llama3 v2.5 perform best locally. Unisense can recognize any object that can be described with words.
