When it comes to sports headphones, you will want to invest in a pair that offers great audio quality without breaking the bank. You will also want a pair that is comfortable to wear and helps you stay aware of your surroundings as you focus on exercise. The TOZO OpenReal fits the bill. It is a pair of Bluetooth 5.3 headphones with dual mic ENC and air conduction. The good folks behind it were kind enough to send us a pair to test. Let’s see what was included:

Rad Gadgets we are tracking: Gaming - Geeky Toys - Man Cave

Our OpenReal pair came with a magnetic charging cable and manual. It has a highly flexible but lightweight design. You get buttons on the right side to turn it on, change the volume and go to the next and previous song. There is also a touch area that you can use to pick up/reject calls and play/pause songs. You can also activate Siri by holding it for a couple of seconds.

Just like other TOZO headphones we have covered, this one pairs to an iPhone or Android device in a flash. The companion app gives you access to 32 EQ settings. You can modify them with a single touch and save custom ones. It is also possible to use the app to update the firmware but you will need to make sure your device has enough battery for this option to become available.

The OpenReal headphones have an extremely lightweight design, so you won’t even feel them. They went on my ears fast and didn’t come off as I went for a run. Thanks to their 16.2mm drivers, these deliver loud sound, so I never had any issue hearing my audio content even in loud environments. Its battery life is advertised as 16 hours. I tested these headphones for over 12 hours over the course of 3 days and still had some juice remaining.

Unlike the other TOZO headphones we have tested, this one doesn’t come with a charging case. The magnetic charging cable is easy to attach but we prefer a USB-C charging port. The OpenReal headphones are sweat resistant, so you don’t have to worry about them getting damaged as you go for a run. I took a few calls with these, and the audio quality is fairly clear, even in windy conditions.

Overall, I found the OpenReal headphones comfortable to wear and use. They connect to smartphones fast and have easily customizable settings. The battery life is long enough to last for over a week of workouts (if you exercise a couple of hours a day). We were not fans of the charger, but as long as you keep the cable safe, you shouldn’t have any issues. If you are looking for a decent-quality pair of open ear headphones for your workouts that don’t break the bank, you should give these a look.
