BAE Systems has some very interesting ideas about future planes. The Transformer concept happens to be an aircraft system that is made from smaller aircraft for increased travel efficiency. The parts travel together to save fuel but can split when in danger. Each craft can act independently. Once the mission is complete, the parts can join together to travel home. Pretty cool, isn’t it?
