Many folks prefer using a physical keyboard to type on their smartphone or tablet. External keyboards are not easy to carry around. Technologies such as Tactus can address this issue by raising buttons on a touchscreen out of nowhere. It’s almost magical when you see it for the first time. We were impressed with the demo at CES 2013. The folks behind this technology are planning to release this shape-shifting solution for iPad. The keys will be available only when you need them.
