Here is a cool steampunk sculpture built around the Scimitar “Ticker” by Art Fenerty. It is made from wood, metal, recycled plastic bottles, paper, glass, and repurposed junk. According to Chris Jones, here is how this sculpture was made:

The wooden parts of the Ticker were faux painted to look like vintage brass, copper and iron and steel. The galvanized steel steam tank on the left side is made from a Starbucks Ice Coffee plastic bottle fuzzed to a Pom Wonderful plastic bottle and faux painted. The gauge at the top of this steam tank is made from the plastic top of a Kraft Parmesan Cheese container and faux painted. The bronze steam tank at the bottom was made by connecting two Starbucks Ice Coffee plastic bottles together and wrapping it in 4 laminated sheets of heavy blotter paper, then faux painting.
