There are plenty of fancy smartwatches that can keep you connected but are not easy to repair or customize. Spectra is a hackable smartwatch with a 1.8-inch OLED display, metal housing, gyroscope/accelerometer, and an ESP32-S3 chip. It also has a Micro SD card slot. Unlike other smartwatches, this is fully user-repairable.
Spectra has a special OS built with Moddable SDK. It is a JavaScript based solution for embedded devices. You will be able to write code for your watch on various platforms. You get various other tools for debugging and development. The makers will be releasing a beta version of the SDK and simulator before the watch ships. For repair, you simply have to remove 7 screws. This smartwatch is getting funded on Kickstarter at this time.
