Meet the SkyTag: a small device that you can attach to your items to find them with your smartphone or using a drone. It’s like many other item locators we have covered, but the device has an app that points you in the direction of your lost item. It is drone enabled, so you can rely on SkyNet drones to find your items. The device is waterproof and has a replaceable battery. It also features a 75 dB speaker, an accelerometer, and a temperature sensor.
SkyTag is expected to be compatible with Apple Watch. You can use it to track pets, kids, bags, and everything else. The sky is the limit when you combine your SkyTag with IFTTT. Did we mention that SkyTag lets you know when you are about to leave important things behind?
The only downside is the SkyNet will be available in San Francisco at first. But more cities could be supported in the future. The drones each have a 1 mile scanning diameter. These guys are promising to open their API to developers soon. The idea is certainly interesting. We can’t wait to see how this turns out.
