We have seen many awesome kinetic lights and sculptures in the past. The Shylight happens to be quite special though. We are talking about a kinetic light sculpture that unfolds like real flowers. It descends to blossom and closes as it moves upward. It is made of various layers of silk and looks quite graceful as it moves. More importantly, you can control the movement of the lights using an iPhone or iPad.
The Shylights have a fall distance of 9 meters. They use a motor to control the upward movement. The folks at Studio DRIFT are behind this cool creation.
