Smart air conditioners are the future. But not everyone owns one of those. We recently had a chance to cover tado cooling, which is a smart gizmo that turns dumb air conditioners compatible with smartphones. Sensibo is another gadget that adds intelligence to your air conditioner. It lets you control your cooler from anywhere. This tiny device essentially connects your air conditioner to the Internet. It comes with an iPhone, Android, and Pebble app.
Sensibo can cool or heat your home before you get there. It turns off automatically when you leave. It can optimize temperature and humidity levels and avoids cooling / heating empty rooms. Sensibo learns from your habits to provide you with a better experience. It is compatible with any A/C that has a remote control (uses IR commands to communicate with your air conditioner).
Sensibo has two parts: a pod that attaches to each of your air conditioners and a smart hub that connects to your home router. Sensibo is easily transferable and can be attached to any surface. It is powered by iBeacon and will have an API for developers. The project is on Indiegogo right now. The idea has a lot of potential, don’t you think?
