This robot kit comes with everything you need to try something like this. It is an open source robot with a camera and image processing. This system is based on STM32.
This robot uses a 20kg servo. You can move the robot with a joystick. This platform has a foldable design. The camera is at the bottom, so you get a more compact design. As you can see in the above video, it is possible to drop a ball on its surface to have the robot balance it.
