The researchers, from the University of Tokyo and Keio University and led by Professor Takeo Igarashi have hacked a Roomba to pull this off. The Roomba in this video drives around, looks for charging docks, and delivers power. When Roomba’s battery is depleted, it returns to the outlet to get charged. The system is not perfect, but the idea has a lot of potential.
