There is no better way to take your electronics and coding skills to the next level than trying advanced Raspberry Pi projects. Mark Paine has shared a project that shows you how to build your own Raspberry Pi powered terrarium. You are going to need a Pi, LED light strips, 12v DC power supply, a terrarium, resistors, and transistors.

The idea here is to use a Raspberry Pi to control LED lighting for the terrarium. Your geographical location is used to calculate sunrise/sunset times and adjust the lights accordingly.
