There are plenty of wearable products that can track your workouts and help you push your body the right way. Ralph Lauren’s Polo Tech shirt happens to be another one. It features sensors knitted into its fabric that read biological and psychological information. The shirt was developed using technology from OMsignal, which we have covered here in the past. The shirt itself is your sensor. Users will be able to see their data on their smartphone.
With OMsignal, the data the shirt collects is stored by a black box device, which includes an accelerometer and a gyroscope. The data is uploaded to the cloud and analyzed using various algorithms to determine stress level, energy output, and more. The Ralph Lauren Polo Tech shirt will be tested at the U.S. Open this year.
