Those of you who deal with allergies and breathing issues know the importance of investing in a high-quality air purifier. When it comes to these devices, you need to pick one that is effective and can cover your entire room. In my case, I also needed one that fits in my small office. The PuroAir 240 fits the bill. The good folks behind it were kind enough to send me one to test. Let’s see what was included:

My PuroAir 240 was very easy to set up. It came with the main unit, a filter already included at the base, and a manual. There is also a 2-year warranty document included in the package. Before getting started, you need to unscrew the bottom and remove the filter’s packing material. This model has a triple purification system with a prefilter screen, HEPA 14 filter, and activated carbon filter. Polluted air is captured at the base from all directions while clean air is pushed out from the top.

PuroAir 240 has a touch-enabled control panel that lets you change mode, speed, and timer settings. There is also a child lock function that ensures your settings remain unchanged. The PuroAir 240 has 4 timer settings (2, 4, 6, and 8 hours). It has low, medium, high, and sleep modes for you to choose from in addition to an auto mode, where the speed adjusts automatically based on the air quality in your room.

This model has an air quality indicator built-in. The auto mode is convenient as it does everything for you. In my room, the air quality is pretty decent, so the fan only ran at a low speed. When I blew out a couple of matches near it, the speed changed to medium automatically. It also managed to keep the air clean next to a litter box at low speed.

This model can remove 99.9% of pollen, dust, dander, VOCs, and other pollutants. It has a range of 1115 sq. ft. I tested this in my office and bedroom and found it very effective at medium speed. I also measured the noise level with my smartphone. My noise meter app gave me readings as low as 30dB, though this included car and other noises around my office.

PuroAir 240 lets you know when you need to change the filter. It  can be added or removed in seconds. You will want to clean the inside and outside of the purifier’s body to prevent dust from collecting in it. Just make sure you don’t immerse the body in any liquid. As far as finding replacement filters, I was glad to find out that they are available for sale on sites like Amazon.

This model doesn’t take a whole lot of space, so I was able to fit it on my desk. It is also light enough to carry with one hand. It has a longer cord compared to some other models we have tested. The touchscreen was pretty responsive and easy to operate.

Overall, I found this air purifier to be quite nifty. It may be on the smaller side, but it is capable of cleaning the air in larger rooms. Its automatic mode can keep your air clean without overworking the machine all the time. You also have various manual settings to control how this purifier runs. If you are looking for a compact but powerful air purifier to keep your allergy symptoms in check, you should give PuroAir 240 a look.
