Unlike other prosthetic limbs, this one allows for a more natural walking gait as it is fully driven by the user’s nervous system. The surgical procedure required to attach this involves reconnecting the “muscles in the residual limb, which allows patients to receive proprioceptive feedback about where their prosthetic limb is in space.” The above video shows it in action.
