Just because you enjoy going to the outdoors all the time does not mean you should have to give up on your favorite gadgets during your trips. You are just going to need a way to keep your gadgets charged when you don’t have access to a power outlet. PowerPot is an exciting charger capable of powering up your gadgets at any time (unlike solar chargers). You can use this indoors or outside. This is essentially a cooking pot that doubles as a electric generator.
The PowerPot transforms the heat from cooking into electricity. It has no moving parts. This is done using a technology called thermoelectric power generation. The developers plan to release two models: the PowerPot V and the PowerPot X (5 and 10 watts capacity respectively). This will cost you as low as $125. The project is funded through KickStarter at this point. Pretty exciting indeed.
