Meet the Pip tracker: a tracker for dogs and cats. It features GPS technology accurate to within 5 feet. You can connect Pip to your Bluetooth devices fast. All you need to do is attach it to your pet’s collar to get started. The companion app uses the GPS in your phone and Pip to guide you to your pet. If your pet leaves a designated area, you get an alert with its location. You can also alert your neighbors if you can’t find your pet.
Pip has a battery that lasts up to 3 months when fully charged. The device will send you a text when its battery is running low. You get a base /charging station with your smart locator. Pip uses a cellular data connection to transmit the GPS location of your pet, so it should work well nation wide (no monthly fees for Kickstarter supporters). This is more than a pet locator though. It also tracks your pet’s activity and lets you know whether your pet is getting enough exercise. You can use the data to figure out whether your pet is developing worrying behavioral trends.
The companion app helps you locate your pet and rely on the community to find your lost pet. It also keeps your pet’s most important information. You can find out more about this device on Kickstarter.
