It is no secret that you need to buy filament for your 3D printer frequency if you want to continue printing new models. The PETFusion 2.0 is a nifty machine that turns PET bottles into filaments. This new model has a motorized bottle cutter, dual hot ends, and a filament welder. It uses a single motor to power cutting and pulling.

To get started, simply dry your PET bottle by removing any dirt and labels. You can use the standalone motorized bottle cutter to slice the bottle into uniform strips. When that is done, insert the PET strips into the dual hot-end inputs, and wait for them to form the strips into 1.75mm filament. You get an ink-based colorizer for your filament. This project is currently on Kickstarter.
