Meet the OutRunner: a remotely controlled robot that can run for as fast as 20 mph and go for 2 hours on a full charge. This is a self-balancing robot that can run on almost any terrain (grass, asphalt, …). It is pretty easy to use as well. Just press the accelerator and steer your robot where you want it to go. OutRunner Core is a fun toy but the Performance version is more powerful with sensors.
OutRunner Performance comes with 12 legs, but it can run on 6 to 12 legs. You can control your robot from a smartphone. The high definition on-board camera can capture videos at 720p/30fps. Sensor data and video are streamed live to your smartphone over WiFi. Upgrades are expected to be made available for the robot. Like the project? You can support Outrunner on Kickstarter.
