In order to test your AI algorithms for real world scenarios, you are going to need a decent robot. The OpenPyRo-A1 is a low cost bimanual Python robot that can take on cooking, object manipulation, and other real-world tasks. It can not only take on basic tasks like folding clothes but also long horizon tasks like arranging tableware.
🫠Yo, after 1 year of really hard work, we have made a new cheap robot – 14K USD bimanual robot. It could do VR-teleoperation, imitation learning, connect with DeepSeek and VLMs to embodied planning tasks.
The cool part is we try to make life easier for non-experts by creating… pic.twitter.com/xyIXFvlXzN

The agent framework for this uses DeepSeek and InternVL for task execution using natural language instructions. This robot has a low cost construction with 3D printed and CNC-machined aluminum alloy construction. It has a modular design that makes repairs easier. Each of its arms have 7DOF.
