Smartphone attachable lens-style cameras are nothing new. We have seen a bunch of them from Sony in the past. The Olympus Air A01 happens to be another elegant lens camera capable of connecting to smartphones. It has a 16MP Live CMOS sensor and can capture SLR quality images. This is an “open” camera, which means third-party developers will be able to come up with apps for it.
The Olympus Air is expected to be compatible with iOS and Android devices. It supports the Amazon Cloud Drive service. It has a Micro Four Thirds lens mount and supports various shooting styles.
