There are plenty of fancy laptops on the market. Not all of them are open source and ready for hacking. The MNT Reform is different. It is designed to be as open as possible with free open source software stack. It is also made to be easily repaired if you know what you are doing.

The laptop is built around NXP i.MX8M with 64-bit ARM Cortex-A53 cores. Reform doesn’t have any cameras or microphones built-in. Its WiFi function is available through a PCIe card. Here are the specs:

  • 4GB RAM
  • Vivante GC7000Lite GPU
  • HD Screen
  • USB 3.0 ports
  • M.2 M-key socket for NVMe SSD
  • Modular case made from CNC-milled, bead-blasted, black-anodized 6061 aluminum
