So you are tired of living in a small apartment? It is always tough to fit the things that you like in an apartment that is simply too small for you, but there are things you can do to better use your space. MIT’s CityHome is a house-in-a-box device that helps you do just that. It is a responsive hardware and software ecosystem that responds to touch, voice, and gestures. This mechanical box sits inside your apartment and has your bed, dining room table, kitchen surface, and closet stowed inside.

MIT Media Lab CityHome: What if 200 ft2 could be 3x larger?

Researchers behind CityHome claim it can make a 200 sqft home look three times larger. This is developed by Kent Larson’s Changing Places Research Group. The idea is certainly fascinating, but I’d still prefer living in a slightly larger apartment.
