In the past few years, we have covered a whole host of interesting prosthetic devices for amputees. Not all of them are robust enough to withstand impact and serious mistreatment. The MERO hand is different. It is a robotic hand prosthesis with a Complaint Rolling Joint that can withstand violent impact and severe disarticulation. It can also perform a variety of grasps (pinch, power grasp, lateral grasp).
