Element83 is behind some of the coolest maglev sculptures we have seen. This Bismuth Pyramid Kinetic Sculpture is also worth a look. It has a mahogany base with large magnets (12″ x 5″ x 1.5″). The base has an array of magnets that form a magnetic field that works with the bismuth’s diamagnetism to hold the little magnet in place.
