Plenty of teams are working on perfecting space exploration devices. Team Hakuto is a Google Lunar XPRIZE team from Japan that focuses on building sophisticated rovers for space. Recently, visitors to the Mitsukoshi department store in Tokyo’s Nihonbashi district got a chance to see the moon rover Hakuto in action. The robot was put inside a sand-filled dome depicting the surface of the moon.

Visitors were allowed to manipulate the rover via a tablet. This was a recent version of Hakuto, which is still under development. Visitors also got a chance to see what the final version might look like. The Japan Times has more on the story here.
