Google is behind some of the coolest products around these days. Many of us rely on Google for our searches. The Android platform does not need any introduction either. It seems the company is now working on wearable technology through Google X. We have already heard rumors about Google and Apple working on wearable products for the future.
Over the last year, Apple and Google have secretly begun working on projects that will become wearable computers. Their main goal: to sell more smartphones. (In Google’s case, more smartphones sold means more advertising viewed.)… In Google’s secret Google X labs, researchers are working on peripherals that — when attached to your clothing or body — would communicate information back to an Android smartphone.
Google’s wearable technology could be HUD glasses. 9 to 5 Mac’s sources claim these glasses will look like regular ones but offer a heads up computer interface. Apparently, this won’t be an Android peripheral. But Google is likely to use AR technology to tie in its location services. Pretty exciting project indeed.
