Here is a lightweight and long-legged hexapod developed at Suzumori Endo Lab, Tokyo Institute of Technology in collaboration with A2Lab that is safe to work around people. The Hexapod Giacometti Robot is 0.94 m tall, 1.67 m wide, and 1.5 m long. It weighs only 3.7kg though.
