Meet the Fetus Care: a wearable device that detects the health status of pregnant moms and their babies. It can detect irregular developments and record the data using a smartphone. This device has the form of a belt with a control unit and ECG sensor pads. It pairs with smartphones to upload data to the cloud. Here is how it works:
when the belt detects an abnormal foetal heart rate or an abnormal rate of uterine contractions, it will vibrate and trigger an alarm. […] the app will warn the pregnant woman and her family. They can immediately contact the doctor for help.
Doctors can use the data to evaluable each situation. Such a device would make it easier for pregnant women to get the help they need when things are not going as expected.
