This is the evoBOT: an autonomous mobile robot based on an inverted pendulum design that can grip, pass, and turn objects without losing its balance. It can maintain its balance on inclined or uneven surfaces. As the below video shows, this robot can move and turn various loads dynamically. It can also move around in tight spaces.
Researchers at Fraunhofer IML have developed evoBOT, a new type of autonomous mobile robot.
