Using E-Paper Displays On Trucks To Show Local Ads, Traffic Info

In the past few months, we have covered a number of interactive displays for trucks that can show oncoming traffic and other info. RoadAds interactive and Visionect are working on e-ink truck displays to show real-time, actionable local adds. They can provide drivers with GPS notifications on traffic conditions and road safety.

For this solution, electronic paper technology was chosen due to its low energy consumption and paperlike readability in direct sunlight. RoadAds combined four 32-inch Visionect-powered displays in tiled billboards mounted at the rear of a truck. They are dust resistant and waterproof. GPS, 4G, and WiFi modules were included.
