DroneCatcher: Multicopter with Netgun Can Capture Unauthorized Drones

In the past few months, we have covered plenty of anti –drone guns and drone jammers to deal with rogue drones. The DroneCatcher takes a different approach. It is a multicopter with a netgun that can remove unauthorized drones from the air.

The DroneCatcher approaches moving threats and uses sensors to lock onto the target and fire a net. The caught drone is then moved to a safe zone. For heavier drones, a parachute can be deployed to minimize damage upon capture.
