Meet the Dot Pad: a smart tactile graphics display with easy controls and a text-to-braille panel that makes life easier for the visually impaired. The company worked with Apple to make this display compatible with iOS. The Dot Pad integrates into Apple’s VoiceOver feature and lets users read text, labels, graphs, and a whole lot more with a simple touch.
The Dot Pad has 2400 pins arranged in a pixel-like grid that can reproduce shapes, symbols, and charts. The Dot Image Processor uses AI to analyze images and produce tactile graphics. Users will be able to zoom, pan, and rotate images on the device. The Dot Pad has USB-C and Bluetooth LE for power and data transfer. It measures 273 x 228 x 16 mm.
