Spending all day in the office can get tiresome. Once in a while, it is fun to work/play in your bedroom or living room. The Couchmaster CYBOT is a nifty laptop holder that lets you get some serious work done on the couch. It comes with two comfortable cushions and a bamboo top designed to hold your laptop and keep it running cool. The good folks behind it were kind enough to send us one to review. Our CYBOT came with two cushions, a sustainable laptop desk, a mousepad, and a pouch that you can attach in the front. Since these are all separate pieces, you can easily set it all up and make adjustments in seconds. The lap desk has a ventilation grille to accommodate your notebook. It also has a special area to hold your tablet in horizontal or vertical mode. You even get a little accessory to keep your iPad steady.
The top board measures 29.5 x 13 inches, so it gives you plenty of space for multiple devices. I personally don’t use a mouse pad but you have the option to attach the one included to the desktop. I found that you can not only use CYBOT on a sofa but also in bed. You can adjust the position of the cushions and lapboard as you wish.
A bunch of accessories are available for your CYBOT. For instance, you can order this with a mobile holder or snack tray with clamp. We simply used a Dinkum ActionPod to hold our iPhone. This makes it perfect for livestreaming setups that require multiple displays to keep up with chat windows while monitoring outgoing video.
The Couchmaster CYBOT not only has plenty of space for your laptop, tablet, and mouse but also has pouches to hold your chargers and other accessories. You will have to give the memory foam cushions some time (24h) to get to their real size. Ironing is allowed.
Overall, we found this laptop desk to be quite convenient to use. It is easy to set up and adjust. It holds all your favorite devices while allowing you to maintain proper posture as you work or play games. It is also useful for streaming and even podcasting (depending on your setup).
