There are plenty of fancy connected chess boards that connect to your iOS or Android device to let you play online. The ChessGenius Pro is a standalone chess computer with a built-in engine. It was introduced a while ago but has recently gotten an update. We recently had the chance to compare the two. The ChessGenius Pro has a 120MHz processor with a pressure sensory board. It has a display and a few buttons that you can use to adjust settings.
One of the main complaints about the ChessGenius Pro was its pieces. The ChessGenius Pro 2024 addressed that with a standard white and black set. It also has a more compact design and strong magnets, so you don’t have to worry about your pieces dropping as you move the board. The display has gotten a major upgrade. It is colorful and much more user friendly.
The ChessGenius Pro 2024 has about the same processing power as the previous version. You can change levels, get the next best move, set up positions and a lot more through its display. These boards use standard batteries, so you can easily change them. Both have 3 different opening book options for you to choose from (no book, classic London book and modern book). ChessGenius Pro 2024 has a convenient Play button which lets you start new games faster.
