Here is a turtle-inspired robot made using cardboard, Raspberry Pi, and other cheap electronic components that can teach itself to navigate different terrains. ASU students developed it with a pair of flippers to push across the sand. It applies enough pressure on the sand to move forward but doesn’t dig holes.
