Here is an origami-inspired bulletproof shield that can protect law enforcement members from gunfire. It can protect more than one person but also folds for easy storage and transportation. The shield can stop bullets from several types of handguns. BYU engineers developed this shield using 12 layers of bulletproof Kevlar with an aluminum core in the middle.
