We have seen a few impressive headlight systems in the past few years (especially at the last CES event). This year BMW showcased its smart laser headlights and OLED-based tail lights. This intelligent headlight system boosts the LED high beams once the driver has gone past 45 mph. BMW Laserlight looks 650 yards ahead of the vehicle. With BMW Selective Beam, drivers are going to have an easier time driving at night. It detects other road users and selectively excludes them from the high beam laser light distribution to offer better visibility.
The dynamic light spot with laser light features infrared recognition to identify pedestrians and large animals up to 110 yards and keep the driver out of trouble. The vehicle relies on a camera system to detect narrow passages and uses the narrow passage guidance light to give you an idea whether you can pass.
