BEZGAR’s RC trucks are a lot of fun to drive around on uneven surfaces. We have already covered a few of them here in the past. The BEZGAR HM164 1:16 Off-road RC Truck is the fastest one we have tested. It is powered by a type 2848 brushless electric motor and uses 1000mAh batteries that last you 20 minute each.

The good folks at Bezgar were kind of enough to send us a HM164 truck to review. Just like other Bezgar RC trucks we have tested, this one is pretty easy to use. It comes with a removable shell. There is also a clear shell that you can customize. You can access the battery compartment by removing the clips. This truck has a tough nylon chassis, oil-filled metal shocks, and non-skid tires. It is IPX5 water resistant.

Our kit came with 3 x 1000mAh batteries and USB battery chargers. There is also a bag for safe storage of the batteries. The learning curve for this truck is very short, especially if you have tried similar RC trucks in the past. Once you learn how to use the controller, you can get the truck rolling in a minute.

The Bezgar HM163 that we tested a few weeks back was pretty fast but the HM164 is even faster. It can reach speeds up to 52km/h. I tried the truck on a lawn that was not mowed for about 10 days and had no problem going pretty fast. I even hit a couple of hard obstacles but these trucks are fairly tough and don’t break easily.

While this truck is water resistant, you should avoid submersion. The controller is easy to learn for beginners but more advanced users can make adjustments with ST.D/R and ST/TRIM, Speed, and Steering Reverse knobs and switches.

The Bezgar HM163 was one of our favorite RC trucks. The HM164 takes it to the next level with even more power and speed. We are not experienced RC racers but had no problem getting this truck running in a few minutes. If you are new to the world of RC racing, you may want to do a bit of homework to learn how to prolong the life of your RC toy and its batteries.

Whether you are interested in solo play or high speed racing against your friends, the Bezgar HM164 is a very solid pickup as it strikes the right balance of power, speed, and durability. Watch the videos on this page to see it in action.
