Dealing with a premature baby can be quite stressful for parents. Not being able to spend time with your new baby can be quite challenging. Thanks to Babybe, mothers can send their heartbeat and breathing pattern to a mattress, allowing premature babies to sense their mom’s presence in real-time. Babybe is a system that has a sensor that takes the information from the mother’s chest in real-time and transmits heartbeat and breathing wirelessly through a control module to a bionic mattress.
The information can be recorded and played when the mother is not available. This device has the potential to help many parents. The team behind this device will present their prototype for the Intel Make It Wearable Challenge Finale on November 3, 2014 in San Francisco. What do you think? Are you impressed?
