Meet the AYO: a smart wearable device designed to boost your energy and help you improve your sleep using light-therapy. It can also minimize jet lag. Apparently, you will just have to spend a few minutes with it to get these benefits. AYO can wake you up naturally and help you get in your natural sleep rhythm. It can even enhance your mood.
Here is how the device supposedly works:
Ayo Light gently enters your eyes, just like sunlight, and triggers retinal ganglion cells that send signals to your brain. So Ayo can tell your brain to “turn on” or “turn off,” no matter what the wall clock or your body clock says about the hour, the day, or the time zone. The signals from Ayo order your brain to, among other things suppress its melatonin release, which makes you sleepy. The result: you’re quickly more awake and energized, wherever in the world you may be!
AYO is app-enabled and has a rechargeable battery. It pairs with your smart device using Bluetooth technology. It is expected to ship in December of 2015.
