You’ll Never Miss With This Robotic Moving Dartboard

So you are frustrated about missing when throwing darts? Mark Rober has developed a robotic dartboard that uses a Vicon motion capture system to track the dart in the air as you through it. It makes a prediction where the dart will land in Matlab using regression analysis.

Once the system knows where your dart will land, it moves the board to the right spot using 6 stepper motors attached to the dartboard using fishing line. The whole process takes about 400ms. Pretty clever, don’t you think?
