Already tired of good old books? E-books are more convenient to use but don’t necessarily enhance your experience. Not like this augmented book. This is a connected book and wearable device with a cover that animates to reflect the book’s changing story. Certain passages trigger vibration patterns.
Changes in the protagonist’s emotional or physical state trigger feedback in the wearable in various ways (change in the heartbeat rate, temperature fluctuations, constriction through air pressure bags). The book and its wearable device support light, sound, personal heating device to change skin temperature, vibration to influence heart rate, and compression system. Is this the future of books? Maybe not. But the idea is quite intriguing.
