We have covered plenty of fancy artificial limbs here in the past. Bionic pop artist Viktoria Modesta has taken it to the next level by wearing a prosthetic leg with a tesla coil inside. She also wore a 3D printed bodice with carbon fiber elements.
Behind the Scenes: Putting a Tesla Coil in an Artificial Leg
The prosthetic leg, which was built by a team led by Anouk Wipprecht, has digital controlled spark gaps. A tiny tesla coil is used to charge six spark gaps with 1000s of volts. A transparent guard was also added. The above video shows this unique artificial leg in action.
