Typewriters used to be very popular a few decades ago. People still collect old typewriters and invest in mechanical keyboards that give a similar tactile experience. The Lambert Typewriter is a rare one from the 1900s. As Typewriter Museum explains:

The Lambert typewriter is a keyboard typewriter on which the keyboard consists of one single piece. On pushing a key, the entire keyboard and the attached type stamp swiveled into position and printed the correct letter onto the paper.
These typewriters are pretty rare and don’t come cheap. You can still find them on sites like eBay though.
